There are two main sorts of ropes, the single ropes and the half ropes. Single ropes are strong enough to use them as a single strand and have a diameter about 8,9mm and 11mm. They are suitable for climbing halls, climbing gardens and at the rock in which there are length between 50m and 80m but also meter ware. Half ropes are being used at the lead climbing and always as a double strand in which you can use them for an easy glacier tour also as a single strand. With this sort of rope it’s possible to save two climbers after you and it offers you a safety margin like a maximum tensile strength or the whole rope length to lower you down. Twin ropes are only for the using as a double strand in which both ropes hang parallel. In our offer you’ll find climbing ropes from Mammut for a small price in various versions.
