The Mammut Element Smart HMS Biner has it's focus fully on safety with a quick and effective twistlock gate that also features a safety gate that stops the twistlock being operated with the 'safety' is on. This double gate effectively prevents any accidental opening of the carabiner as well as offering two disctinct area of the biner that can be clipped into, thus separating the load. This is especially useful when belayign so that the belay loop can be located inone and and the belay plate in the other, whcih completely eliminates any risk of cross loading.
