The UFO ice screw represents a steep ice revolution. The ergonomically shaped screw head makes sure the insertion of the screw into the ice is simple and effortless. When turning, the hand is always in tight control of the screw head. Even in overhanging ice the screw can be inserted and turned in with one hand without any problems. The risk of losing a screw is practically zero, even in extreme situations. The crank integrated in the screw head facilitates turning of the screw, while the four-section cutting head and the conical thread ensure full bite and rapid progress in the hardest ice. The sling fixing moves along the entire screw length. This minimizes the lever effect when the screw cannot be inserted fully – you may be grateful reducing the risk of a broken or torn fixing.
